Problem Statement
YugabyteDB offers powerful and innovative features—such as read-only replicas and row-level geo-partitioning—that provide high performance and flexibility for modern applications. However, many users are unaware of these capabilities or don’t fully understand how they work in practice, leading to underutilization. This gap in awareness and understanding limits the perceived value of the platform.
To address this, the team introduced a "Discovery Lab" in the cloud app—an interactive environment backed by live databases—where users can explore these features hands-on. As they engage with the lab, they gain real-time insights into how YugabyteDB’s distributed topologies contribute to exceptional query speed.
My Role
Bring the product idea to an intuitive and engaging user experience.
Prototype and validate ideas quickly, pivoting or adjusting based on real-world usage.
Participate in team reviews and share my work regularly with the team and company leadership.
Work with engineering and PM to design, build, and launch the feature.
